Issue #1 · Monday, August 10, 2026 · 5 AI tools for B2B SaaS product managers
Five AI tools worth your attention today — what each one does, why it matters if you run product at a B2B SaaS company, and where to look. Every weekday morning. No sponsors, no noise.
Samepage Signals — a $4.85M-backed “second brain” for product leaders from the AdStage founders (Craft Ventures, with Justin Kan and Matt Mullenweg among the angels) — plugs into 35+ systems including Jira, Linear, Slack, Gong, and Salesforce, then pushes you what matters instead of waiting to be asked: feature ideas surfacing in sales calls, competitor moves, and projects quietly going at risk.
Why it matters for PMs: The pitch — information as push, not pull — goes straight at the morning tool-crawl that eats a product leader’s first hour; if it lands, this is the category-defining product for PM attention.
Novus, Pendo’s new product agent (free while in open beta), scans your codebase, opens a pull request to install its own instrumentation, builds a living “Memory” of your features, personas, and workflows, and connects to Claude Code and Cursor via MCP.
Why it matters for PMs: It turns usage data into pre-merge review — flagging broken flows in a PR, proposing the fix, and drafting rollout plans — making it the cheapest way to trial agent-assisted product ops without a new line item.
Devplan emerged from stealth with a $2.5M seed led by AI2 Incubator and its Weaver agent, which connects to GitHub, Jira, Slack, and meeting note-takers, builds a knowledge graph of your product org, answers “what’s the status?” questions in chat, and ships every person a daily digest — without anyone filing an update.
Why it matters for PMs: It aims at the “invisible tax” of status meetings and reports, from founders who scaled Lessen to a $2B valuation and ran infrastructure at Snap — if Weaver delivers, your sprint reviews get shorter.
Atlassian’s Product Collection (now in early access) bundles Jira Product Discovery with a new Feedback tool that ingests support tickets, sales calls, CRM records, Slack, and surveys, Rovo AI that drafts PRDs and agentic roadmaps, and Pendo usage analytics — all wired directly into Jira delivery.
Why it matters for PMs: If your org runs on Jira, this is the incumbent’s answer to feedback-intelligence startups — signal-to-delivery inside tools you already pay for, with agentic roadmapping previewed on top.
airfocus, acquired by Lucid, relaunched as a “product intelligence platform”: one connected data model across feedback, strategy, OKRs, and roadmaps; AI agents that triage feedback and draft stakeholder updates; and a bidirectional MCP server that exposes all of it to Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot.
Why it matters for PMs: Bidirectional MCP means every other agent in your stack can read — and update — your priorities with guardrails; treat this as the template for what every roadmapping tool will need to ship this year.
