EasySpecs makes the spec the thing you review
Covered by Signal Brief for B2B SaaS product managers — one of 5 tools in Issue #14 · easyspecs.ai
What it does
EasySpecs, launched September 11, auto-documents your actual codebase and turns it into specifications paired with “oracles” (machine-runnable pass/fail checks) and “rubrics” (scored judgment criteria), so a spec can be verified against reality before an agent writes a line of code against it.
Why it matters for PMs
The quality gate moved. When agents generate code faster than anyone can review it, the merge request stops being where you catch problems — the spec is. EasySpecs is built explicitly for the technical product manager: it generates functional documentation from the real code, so you can sanity-check a spec against how the app actually behaves without opening a source file, and it plugs into Jira and Linear so the spec is ready the moment engineering picks it up. An MCP server lets your coding agents pull the approved spec and mark it implemented, which closes the loop between what you asked for and what shipped. Two caveats worth pricing in: the maker says drift detection between spec and code is not yet in production, and this is a launch-week tool — pilot it on one messy repo before it owns your process.
