Sequel’s agentic engagement cloud for webinars

Covered by Signal Brief for B2B SaaS product managers — one of 5 tools in Issue #12 · businesswire.com

What it does

Sequel on Wednesday announced the Agentic Engagement Cloud, a platform layer that tries to move the webinar category past the webinar. The architecture is the story: Sequel runs live and on-demand video directly on the customer’s own website rather than sending audiences to a separate destination, so what happens inside a webinar — what someone watched, the questions they asked, the polls they answered, the calls to action they clicked — is joined with the first-party web behavior happening around it. On top of that context sit three built-in agents: Build plans programs, creates events, connects the required components, and checks readiness before an event goes live; Scale transforms webinar content into assets that fuel campaigns long after the session ends; Convert uses engagement and audience context to identify the people and accounts showing meaningful interest, explains why they matter, and helps move them toward the next action. Customers can build custom agents, and a Sequel MCP server makes Sequel’s context and capabilities available inside external AI environments. Sequel Intelligence turns behavioral context into buyer- and account-level intelligence — engagement scoring, AI-generated summaries, recommended next steps — that flows into the customer’s CRM, while expanding personalization capabilities adapt owned digital experiences to the relationship a buyer has already demonstrated. A Marketplace expansion carries that context across CRM, CMS, data, and media systems. Co-founder and CEO Oana Manolache: “Everyone is adding AI to webinar software. But an agent can only reason over what it knows.”

Why it matters for PMs

Manolache’s line — an agent can only reason over what it knows — is the design rule for every AI feature shipping this year. Model access is commoditizing; context is not. Sequel’s entire architecture (video on your site, engagement joined to first-party behavior) exists to give its agents context no competitor can copy, and that is the moat worth building whatever category you occupy. For B2B PMs specifically, webinars and demos remain where buyers voluntarily reveal intent — 30 or 45 minutes of attention that today usually decays into an attendance record. Scoring that attention into account-level intelligence with CRM-ready next steps closes the loop between product marketing and pipeline. The Build/Scale/Convert taxonomy is also a reusable way to decompose agent work in any workflow: agents that prepare the work, agents that extend its value, and agents that convert its signal. Finally, watch the category dynamics: as event suites consolidate, point vendors are repositioning as context systems. Expect every GTM tool you evaluate to make the same claim — “our agents know more” — and test it the way you would any roadmap input: ask what it knows, how it knows it, and whether that context survives the handoff into your systems.
