What it does
Adobe made AI Collaborators generally available in Workfront on Thursday — agents that become permissioned users inside the work-management tool: you register a collaborator, describe what it does, connect it to any agent (built in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Anthropic Claude, Writer, or anything reachable via public API, MCP endpoint, or agent-to-agent connection), and assign it tasks exactly as you would assign them to a person. Workfront packages everything the agent needs — task description, brief, messaging rules, brand voice — so output quality stops riding on one person’s prompting skill; the agent does the work and posts the result back to the task for a human to review and approve, with permissions and audit trails built in from day one. Task agents and a brand-compliance reviewer (optionally powered by Adobe Brand Intelligence, which learns from real approvals and rejections) are live now, a project coordinator is coming soon, and Adobe shipped Workfront MCP alongside so Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and ChatGPT can reach into Workfront from the other direction.
Why it matters for PMs
This is the clearest template yet for how agents will sit on a delivery plan — as named, permissioned assignees with an audit trail and a human sign-off, not as side-channel chats. If your launches run through Workfront, agents just became capacity you can plan against; and “the system supplies the context” is the pattern to demand from every work-management vendor on your shortlist, because it’s what separates repeatable agent work from one-off prompting.
